Too bad, this has been an exceptional series

I'm not quitting on the project at all-- I just won't be able to finish any more pages for a while, possibly not until early next year. There are a few more pages ahead of this one pencilled, but inking colouring and lettering are all quite time consuming and my commission in-tray is pretty full.

(Not sure why this is coming out in italics by the way!)

I thought of Looney Tunes also.Β  NBTW it looks like Shulkie has a less stressful time changing to Jen than vise versa.

Like the "Looney Tunes" sound FX at the top panel.

Even reverting back to Jennifer Walters she's still sexy.

Gorgeous scenery. Β You've been going all in on this project, and it's paying off big time.

My theory is that when Betty reverts, she'll have to contend with ruined clothes, then Bruce will hook up her up with whatever the secret is (which I'm guessing he shared with Jen earlier).

Nice idea, but that's not what the explaination is going to be. If Betty changes back (and who's to say she's not stuck this way permanently?) her clothes will reform in the same way Bruce and Jen's do.Β  Just so that I don't build up anyone's hopes too much that there will be some kind of ground breaking revelation; the issue of magically reappearing clothes will be addressed, but it'll be done so in a sort of irreverent way. IE, I'm not going to try and challenge the notion that it's a fairly silly concept.

Actually when I embarked on this project I did consider excluding this aspect of the show and have Bruce and Jen be clad in ruined, post-Hulkout rags when they returned to human form. In the interest of authenticity I decided to keep the magic clothes trick in, and I'm glad I did. Firstly-- the tone of this comic is, as I'm sure you'll all have noticed, a little tongue in cheek. The magically appearing clothes trick is part of the comedy aspect of the comic. Also, as daft as the idea is, I can't deny it does make things a lot easier from a storytelling perspective, and it is actually central to the show's central conceit: that nobody knows Bruce and the Hulk are one and the same. I imagine Betty, General Ross and Glenn Talbot Et All would have quickly put two and two together when Bruce disappears with every manifestation of the Hulk only to turn up in torn trousers after the Hulk has gone!

And thank you for your kind comments

You sure as heck are right about the storytelling aspect. Β That's one of the things I liked about the Hulk cartoon--it kept the secret identity aspect and with the stories they told that would be impossible if Banner's clothes didn't repair themselves.

Anyway, keep up the great work--I cannot tell you how much I'm enjoying this.

Perfect role-reversal of the #1 Savage SheHulkie "whatever Jen can handle...She Hulk will do!"

I think you'd be the best artist for the job if Marvel started an imprint focused around comics based on some of their old TV shows. This "Red Alert" project is definite proof of that. And the best part is, they have an alternate earth designation for the show!

More magically reforming clothing. I await the explanation of this phenomenon with eager anticipation.

It's reminiscent of the old Hulk cartoon, where everything was G-rated.
