Description
This is my most recent of paintings. Having a look at deviant art before, I do not know how well paintings are recieved in this community comapared to digital manips and photoshop work. With thirteen-million plus pictures on this site, I only hope somebody gets to see this. This is a three panel part of a ten panel series, with and expressionistic commentary on what emotions and ambience is captured when people gather soley to get drugged and drunk, and also (though not in this part of the series) the consequences of such behavior in extremity.

Now that I've seen panel #1, panel #3 impresses me even more. The progression from control and coherence to dissonance and confusion which is the reality of heavy drug-use, is expressively reflected in the decomposing style and colour. You have a sure hand and clear intentions, what could be better?

Wow, I love the surreal feel to them. And how they seem to be one whole painting, just seperated.
And the colours! Oh my, they're absolutely wonderful and suiting to the feeling I believe you were trying to convey.
Awesome work!

I really love this one, it feels like a very complete piece. I particularly like the abstraction on the buttons for the shirt of the fellow on the left. Bravo!

As you see, this community loves paintings.
I love the colours, I usually don't see them on surreal works (that by the way, are my favourites).
I love the techinque used on this work and the composition of the panels. Good job!

It does seem us traditional artists don't always get much viewing. This certainly is deserving of being seen. I love how you broke it up. It's very beautiful and surreal.

Totally Keewl, thanks for stopping by my site BTW, I'm really new to this whole e-gallery thing, and if I can figure out how to get this peice into my fav gallery I will, the color is exiting, and the abstraction delicious. (aha.. spotted the button) it would be great to see the series together, an installation pic or something.
Traditional artists have to stick together a little in this new digi-heavy universe, although I think it's a reaction to the bias *out there*, people see photoshop as a tool, not as an art medium... (sucks, I know some really revolutionary digital artists who deserve more credit)

Great one. This could easily be hanging in a public display somewhere... the surrealism of it is what I really like about it. The colors work well for the piece as well.

You know what? I admire this. Why? Because I could never be so imaginative or daring. Abstract/surreal was never my thing - not loose enough for it I guess. This, I think, would make my art teachers squeal. Certainly, you would be the teacher's pet.
Colors - emotions - everything comes through. Love the way you presented it as well.
