Description

So with having gotten my first Torrent Prints in last week I decided it might be a good idea re-evaluate exactly what I was offering and I decided that instead of doing articulation simply for the sake of it (a bit of a guilty pleasure of mine I’ll admit) I should focus more so on where it’s needed and simplify things to make it a bit more approachable. To this end for the Kit Version of the Torrent I removed one of the articulation points from the knees and simplified the arms a bit, the guns can still pitch up and down thought. The hips and the ankles are still ball joints that can offer a rather large range of possible poses to better suit any terrain that might be used with this guy. I’m also looking to print it at about 50% larger. I’m hoping I can still keep this under 30$, hopefully with the reduction in parts/complexity I can pack things a bit tighter to make sure it stays under that price point, we’ll see, hopefully if things go well I can start figuring out the pricing with test uploads soon.

I haven’t yet started work on the “Miniature” Version of the torrent yet because that will use the same mesh as the Kit Variant just scaled down back to what it was before and all the parts merged together so it’ll be the last thing I work on but it should be fairly easy.

I’m hoping I can do my test orders by the end of the week so they can start being processed next week, it was a 20 day turn around for my first order so this time around I want to focus on other things while waiting for these guys to come in now that I have a better grasp of how the process works and the kinds of results I can expect.
