Here we are folks, my first drawing of 2018!!

I'm glad 2017 is over, it was a mess for me to sit for me through as an artist. Hopefully this year will be much more forgiving.

I was commissioned to draw this character, Akiko. I thought that this would be a good time to practice poses and anatomy, now that I've been meaning to draw another pose other than just standing with a hand on a hip.

The Japanese text in the background spells out her name, and the Japanese characters (秋) means "autumn", and (子) meaning "child". That's how I came up for the title of this drawing.

I worked super hard on this drawing and I am so proud of how it turned out in the end. Hope you like!
