March 3rd, 2017Nintendo Switch was launched worldwide.
In 2014, it was a dark time for Nintendo. Their latest console, Wii U, suffered from low sales, and started to lose money. So Satoru Iwata, who at the time was president of the company, wanted to create a new console aimed at a wide demographic of video game players.
Ever since the Nintendo Switch's launch one year ago today, the console has been a massive success. Nintendo Switch has sold over 3 million units at the first month of its launch, and over 14 million units at the end of 2017.
The library of games on the Nintendo Switch are amazing, we've got The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, ARMS, Splatoon 2, Mario and Rabbids Kingdom Battle, Super Mario Odyssey, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, as well as bunch of other new games that will be coming out in the coming years!
The Nintendo Switch has quickly become of my favorite consoles/handhelds. The fact that you can play any game, anywhere, and anytime is mind-blowing!
Here's to the Nintendo Switch for 1 year!
