Before I played the game, I have to say I really didn't know much of the characters other than what I could see of them from Sonic Pinball Party. Jackle, as seen there, looked like he was a stoic old man type guy, and I swear he had a cane. When I fought him in the real game, I find out he's a flying guy who laughs maniacally as he throws cards at you with startling good aim. He is officially my favorite boss of the game, and one of my favorite bosses of all time, now.

This one took me all the way through Muse's Showbiz album.
