I actually didn't use an image. He's all made with orbit traps... it was tricky, but I managed to build it up like a paper cut-out project... with each layer being a different part of the face.

Thanks... he is actually created with trap layers. A basic julia was used for the base and I built him out of various shapes... circles squares etc... like you would with construction paper...
