Thanks! That's a sorta "local" one. Downtown Lawrenceburg, up close to the parking garage by the casino, if you're familiar with that area. I was a little shocked to see such COLORS pop out at me in that area of town, but, anymore.......I guess, nothing should really shock me!
Thanks for the comments and and good to hear from you, again!

There's always "speed bumps" on the road of life, and we always seem to make it over them, don't we! It's what makes life interesting!
Always good to hear from you, too!

Thanks, Sandy! Yeah....that's what jumped out at me, too! Not something usually seen in that part of town. I think someone was trying to make a "statement!"

The colors are wonderful, but I wish it weren't cropped so tightly... There should be more to be seen of the red doors, enough that we can see more of the orange brick on the other side. Or enough of something else to complete the frame of the doors. That's my opinion anyway.

mim304 In reply to VampyreDearest [2011-12-21 13:11:37 +0000 UTC]

Thank you. I appreciate your comments and your opinion. As far as cropping so tightly, well...there really wasn't anything on the other side of the red door, other than another red door. And, for balance reasons, I didn't want another red door in the frame, so, maybe I should have cropped a little tighter and got that excess out of there, so you couldn't even see that there is another door in the frame at all...??: I don't know. Anyway, I do appreciate your thoughts and ideas. We all see things differently, and it only helps us grow as artists to share them, so, thank you so much!

Hmmm, that is a problem. I'd be worried that if you cropped it that much, then it would look more off-balanced and not in a good way... I'm sure with the shot that you did the best that you could. We can blame the architect for not having your photography in mind when he/she designed the building. ;] Lol. Anyway, you're welcome. I feel the same about wanting feedback to grow, so I try to give it to others when I can. :] Good luck with your art!

I like your idea of "blaming the architect for not having my photography in mind!" How dare he/she!
Thanks so much for taking the time to get back with me. I really appreciate it. Means so much to hear feedback...
