I do understand the English language quite well, better than most Americans I know. The part where I said you speak Australian was just to make you somewhat understand what it's like having people try to tell you what language you speak.
I've never watched Oprah because I have better things to do, but no I would not require subtitles.
No, I do my research on other countries daily, and I know that native Australians are black, or somewhere along those lines. There's SOME history, but it lacks detail and has too much personification. And a lot of the horrible stuff that happened (that was included in the anime, other than the American Revolution) always had huge parts cut out and never said anything bad about it.
