Description
This is NOT the official Power Rangers Lost Galaxy line-up. This is my own version of it. Please read the following journal if you are not familiar with my "ReImagining the Power Rangers" concept : [link]DO NOT use without my explicit permission first.
Season 7 : Lost Galaxy 1999
After the death of Zordon, all the Rangers were pretty shaken up. Especially Andros who was the one responsible for the fatal blow. Even though he was obeying a direct order from Zordon, It was really hard for him to acknowledge his actions.
They all went back to Earth, but Karone, Adam and Cassie (now a couple) had a difficult time finding a place in this new civilization (for Karone) or simply settling back. They all signed up for the Terra Venture project along with the recently upgraded Alpha 7 their faithful android companion.

Now that their identities were no longer a secret, Adam, Cassie and Karone took benefice from their past actions. Adam became field leader of all trading missions. Cassie worked as a mechanic inside the ship. And Karone was put in charge of entertaining.
After only a few weeks in space, Terra Venture was propelled into an other galaxy, on orbit of the planet Mirinoi. One of the villages was under attack by monsters. Adam, Cassie and Karone where sent on the surface with a group of Soldiers including Kai Chen. The former Rangers had experience in these kind of situations. Kai and the other soldiers had none. The entire troop was killed, only Kai survived thanks to the help of Maya one of the natives. He brought her back to the Rangers and all five of them ran away from the transforming wave affecting the planet. They had no time to go back to the space shuttle, so Maya led them to the Quasar Sabres, their only hope to survive.

Hopefully for them, the Quasar Sabres awoke and choose them to become the Galaxy Rangers. Adam was really surprised to see that no one was the Red Ranger. No Red Ranger in the team, that was a first for him. Being the veteran of the team, the other decided he should lead them. They transported to Mirinoi's moon, fought the monsters, used the old Astro Megaship to defeat the giant monster and went back to the colonial spaceship. Unfortunately they discovered that the path to Earth was erased from the data core as well as from Alpha's memory. A few days after they freed the Galacta Beast and then started using them to form the Galaxy Megazord.

When Kendrix was killed by the Pink Psycho Ranger, her memories and personality somehow survived inside the machine. The Space Ranger believed they had destroyed all six Psycho Ranger, but the Pink one managed to escape and survive. After some Time, Kendrix's personality became more dominant, and the Psycho Pink data was destroyed. With time on her side, Kendrix was able to build another body, a body who looked like her older self yet you can clearly see she's no longer human. She transferred her data into it and destroyed the other one.
While searching for signs of the Rangers on the planet Mirinoi, she fell into a pit and met the Magna Defender. He forced a fusion with her, and escaped. Her robotic features caused several problems with the Magna Defender and his physiology. His actions, not always good where also punished by Kendrix's mind. He eventually redeemed himself by sacrificing his body and freeing Kendrix. He later on appeared to her and passed along the Magna Blaster and the Magna morphers.

When Trakeena attempt to crash Terra Venture on the restored planet Mirinoi, the Rangers manage to stop the incident with the help of the Megazord. The Station crew decide to settle on the planet and to live with it's inhabitants peacefully. The Rangers return the Quasar Sabres to the stone. And lose their powers. Before the powers have completely vanished, the Galacta Beast appears in dream to the Rangers. They gave them the ability to travel back to Earth. It's a one way travel, and they are the only one who can decide if they will and when they will use this gift.

So if Adam is the leader, who is the second in command when Adam is away?

Never really thought about that, but it probably would be Cassie.

Kai is my favorite Blue Ranger, but I'm sad for he being the only Galaxy Ranger alive.

This team actually has 3 rangers from the official Lost Galaxy. Kai in blue like the official, Maya in orange and Kendrix as a robot and Magna Defender.

But why kill Leo and Damon?

I never said Damon and Leo were part of the soldier troop who was attacked on Mirinoi. They just either don't exist in my universe or they're not on Terra Venture or they were not in Kai's troop.

Because I wanted to experiment. And I had decided some characters had an assigned colour. None of the rangers of this team had Red as their assigned colour (that how I saw things at the time I did this anyway).

Personally, as a toku fan, I find this unsettling, for there is no Red Ranger. I know you had your reasons, it's just... unsettling. If you seen other tokusatsu shows, there have been Red Sentai Rangers, Kamen Riders with red accents, Ultramen with red accents, and red Metal Heros. To see something Super Sentai-based with no Red... yeah, it feels wrong.

I know it's unsettling, it was for me as well. But i really wanted to try it out, see how it would work and also see how people would react to the absence of a Red Ranger. And well out of the 17 seasons I did, it's the only team without a Red Ranger.

If there is know Red Ranger, then what would the Megazord look like? Is the Fire Lion just Orange now?
On a second note, if Kendrix is a cyborg now, wouldn't it make an interesting twist if she became second in command to Venjix in RPM?

The lion is actually yellow since it's Cassie's Galacta Beast.
About Kendrix : There's no Venjix in my RPM story. I called it Engine Warriors. I doesn't take place in a post apocalyptic future, it's linked to the event of my season of Jungle Fury. I also tried to stay true to the original source material. It was the last season I had planned as well as the last season of MMPR (until they recently announced that Saban bought the rights back and there's a new season in the works).

Yes, the team had a red ranger in the early stages, before I started to work on the story or even the characters, but when I decided to use only rangers that never wore red before and to keep Adam as the leader, I decided to go for the exception, a team with no red ranger. Adam's true colour is green in my universe. When he received Zack's powers he was black, he kept the colour for the following set of powers, because they came from the same kind or source as the previous one, but when he went to find his fragment of the Zeo Crystal he received his own colour. He stayed green for all his other appearances (Zeo, Turbo, In Space, Lost Galaxy, Lightspeed Rescue and Engine Warrior//R.P.M.)
