This is part of a set of images taken the day before flora day in a town called helston. the day before, locals come out and decorate their houses and shops with flowers from the surrounding country side. i would go tomorrow but it'll be packed! and wouldn't be able to see anything. so please enjoy these images. i will only post the best of out the many ive taken. most of them are taken with me trying to take they local community and also trying to take them in a quorky way. please tell me what you think and any handy tips r very welcome.(there was a secret kind of garden down the ally. it looke realy nice

heres a handy tip! if at all possible, ask the shop owners to stand next to, near or around their actual peice, then there will be a sense of the artist and their art, if you do this, take a close up of their face as well as the individual beautiful flowers. Another way to make it more interesting could be to actually go around this into the secret garden a bit and take it from the back so theres a view of the locals and the festivity.

lol i think i arrived too late for most becus most peps had already put them up and the securet garden tip is a cool idea. maybe i'll keep that in mind for next year
