I can't exactly explain the genre of the game since it's also a Skating Game, But it's an Action-Adventure Game From Sega X'D If you would look at it, You would think that it's just another game trying to be like those Tony Hawk Skating Games, But Really It's not. X'D
You Play as the Main Gang of the game who refer to themselves as the GG's XD A Group of Teen Skaters who goes around spraying graffiti over Tokyo to show their freedom, They're also the Heroes of the Game as you also Fight against These Rival Gangs trying to take over their Territory Place, And The Main Villain of the Game and a Very Dangerous man, Gouji Rokakku, Where he and his group called the Rokakku Group are trying to take over tokyo and to get rid of the GG's XD In the first game, He has his group searching for pieces of a Demon Record Called "The Devil's Contract", He Wants the Record to unleash an inner Demon and to use it to take over tokyo once and for all, In the Second Game, Jet Set Radio Future, He's just simply trying to Seize Control of Tokyo XD And he gets everyone under his control at the end through his Vortex Machine, Causing him to transform into AKUMU, The Final Boss of the game..Yes...The Games...They have bosses. X'D Even if it's skating.

The First Game is on the Sega Dreamcast, and it's about to be updated with an HD Rerelease for the PSN and XBLA This Summer. ^u^ The Second one is on the Xbox, and if you have a 360, it can be play on the 360. X3
