Description
For the avatar state contest!Ughhhh if I thought I hated drawing hands before, carving them out of nori makes me want to jump off a bridge overlooking steampunk Shanghai.
TOP: air (carved+baked potato), mango slices; green salad; earth (meatloaf made with sriracha, soy, chili sauce).
BOTTOM: fire (bell pepper sauteed with sesame oil), Korra (nori, food coloring, soy sauce, rice vinegar), water (rice paper).
It's sort of hard to tell but each element is angled to be rising up out of the box (the water has dry rice paper bent underneath, the earth has pieces of spaghetti holding it up). I might post some side shots later just so you can see it better

Haha luckily after smelling/cooking all the food I'm STARVING! It's usually a struggle to make myself be sure I've gotten a good picture before I chow down on it all

I usually nibble all the pieces that aren't pretty enough to go in the box (that's how an entire mango can get cut up and only about 6 small pieces make it into the photo

Ah I see...I didn't take that into account. I don't blame you, I'd do the same and than more...until nothing but crumbs were left in the bento box before the photoshoot.
