The Chinese got butthurt because Dreamworks did a better job of making an animated Kung Fu movie so they made this poor excuse of a 3d film as a response.

Actually, China loves Kung Fu Panda, believe it or not. That's probably why they decided to rip it off. They love Disneyland too, so they decided to rip it off and create a ripoff of it called Shijingshan Amusement Park, complete with Disney ripoff characters, plus ripoffs of Shrek, Hello Kitty, Doraemon, Hamtaro, Bugs Bunny, and Betty Boop, among others.
It seems like most of China's animation industry seems to consist of ripoffs of American or Japanese animation.

It might be a knockoff, but I thought some of the animation and character designs were decentish. Especially the cat's.
And to be fair, kung-fu wasn't depicted that accurately in "Kung-Fu Panda" either. Try performing the Wuxi Finger Hold on anyone in real-life and I guarantee you won't get the same results that Po did in the first film. It's all heavily exaggerated.

In KFP, at least they treat Kung Fu as a physical martial arts style. In TLOTKFR, it includes long distance attacks and the ability to fly (for some reason).
