i saw this one panel of the pokemon manga i have, and i just had to draw it. after drawing this, my aunt asked me if she could make a t-shirt out of this, so i let her. she makes t-shirts for her own amusement, even though she doesn't plan on giving them out.pikachuΒ©Satoshi Tajiri

I can't say why it's the most favorite, but it does have a really nice shape. He looks so round and lovable! So many pikachu drawings look insubstantial, too thin with not enough bulk. This one is well drawn and cute to boot!

Why thanks! If you read my commentary, I just wanted to redraw the manga image and add some color to this. I hate that people ignore that this is actually just a copy and the real credit should go to the actual manga artist, but I glad to get some recognition anyways...

I used to be able to mimic Pikachu's voice, but then I got sick and was never able to match it again. ;-;

That's a shame, I used to do the Pikachu voice all the time when I was a kid. Even when I was Pikachu for a Halloween, I spoke the voice in a costume contest that I got a prize in.

A hand made costume actually. My mother used wires under felt cloth. This was used to give it a rather fat look to the creature. We used the tops of pudding cups to give the eyes, since their see-through. For the hands, regular yellow hand gloves to give the thin fingers.

That's awesome. I'm starting to work on making my own costumes. Unfortunately, I don't have the money to buy the supplies I need. Though, I'm working on paid art commissions, so hopefully I'll be able to afford materials soon. I want to go as a Pikachu to a convention one day with a friend dressed as my trainer. I'm small for my age so I wanted to try something with one of my favourite Pokemon, just because everyone seems to think I'm adorable anyways (for example: the random Kim Possible that called me adorable, picked me up, put me over her shoulder and started walking away... while I was on my shift! *shudders*)

Um, well, I don't really have an occupation quite yet. I do art commissions when asked... sometimes. A couple years ago I did volunteer work at an anime convention where I live. I was a personal assistant for Japan-a-Radio and their creepy friend/guest during the time.

nope, in the manga, his girlfriend is trapped in that ball because team rocket is trying to steal all the pikachu. this story was based on that one episode from the first season when pikachu go into the wild and find wild pikachu that take him as another wild pikachu.
