Description
I finally completed another picture!Started and finished today, done completely with an HB pencil. Unfortunately, my scanner destroyed it. The original is much softer in shading and much crisper in outlines.
I need a new scanner.

EDIT: Fixed the scan and re-uploaded the image itself. It's much closer to the original now, though still not quite perfect.

Its a great picture but i think its a shame that the face doesnt fit in with the body. I'm guessing you drew the face in last? The eyes should be further down and the body is on a different plain to the face.

You've got some nice range of shades done with that HB! It's a real pity about the scanner, the coarse shading does semi-spoil the face for me -- makes it look rather harsher than I think it should. But I love the details of the dress and the way you've integrated everything nicely

I had to cut it out of my sketchbook to do it, but I think it was worth it.
As for the HB range - I had to sharpen my pencil a LOT over the course of the day to get that darkness. I thought I was working with a 2B until I got to filling in the darker areas of the gradient.
