My second maulerfiend and I am quit proud of the result.
I am playing Tournament this weekend and I am hoping that this guy will help me get best painted army.
I have painted a lot but not taken/posted pictures for a while. Maybe I will post more the following days weeks, if I am not painting...
The base is made with ceramic clay (first time I used it) and i converted the marine with green stuff. (that GW forced upon me to get a legal paper version of kill team rules for tournaments)

Well I used Sculpey together with some awesome tools I got at greenstuffworld.com (those roling pins are amazing) and must say it is wonderful to work with, much easier then green stuff. It does not stick to fingers, tools etc.
And if you don't bake it does not get hard, so you can work over several days if necessary.
The only downside is you need to bake the stuff in the oven.
But I will certainly use it again.

Thanks for that Β Β Have you tried Fimo polymer clay? It's the workshop fave and has similar properties to Sculpey and it needs to be baked too. We use one of those small, tabletop, halogen ovens that have a timer on them and it works out well: more efficient than heating a domestic oven which we don't have in the workshop anyway!

I think Fimo and sculpey are somewhat the same thing. just a different brand. I used it a long long time ago when I was a monitor for kids at camp. Whole different purpose though...
Yeah, having a studio with all the works sounds nice, and I know how fast one gets used to having all the good tools around. I am confined to my domestic oven for the time being

Oh, please don't be under any illusion! Our machinery and equipment is very old (but great cos it works fine and is easy-ish to fix) and my fave, go-to tools tend to be really basic and/or cobbled together but reliable. Each to their own, I guess!Β Β

yes, a tzeentch daemon host (flamers, Lord of change, herald, and pink horrors), a fort for AOS, some slaves to darkness stuff,4 Realmgates, and some battlecanons(scenery).. just havent posted much..
