ModFor Raster's birthday chapters.
Kind of a mix between two styles that I like to use (dollish and realistic). Done freehand in Photoshop 6.0. The reference photo was this one of model Trish Goff: [link] I've done a walk-through for an airbrush piece similar to style of this one for Raster, it's in the InFocus section there. (thanks for the correction ~midsummerstorm )

He I like her asking eye look that's not so direct but still kind of captivating. The wet look impression of the eyes is just fascinating and creates a very realistic appearance. Anyway you tried to keep up the painted "illusion" beside this realistic touch. All in all it's very photo like ( I mean the pose, the reflections, the focus, the skin colours, the shadow work, the depth - all very photo like ), but but yet the surface structure is naturally painted and doesn't look artificial. What's a bit odd is the muscle along her neck that is visible when she moves her neck to the left or the the right side. There's just one, but normally there have to be two visible muscle parts that play together and the visible one seems a bit large to me for such a soft neck. Maybe the strong light on the left of the neck part hides the muscle part that should be there, but isn't visible. But don't worry about that cuz the rest is just perfect and indeed I can't find something that is really negative on this one.

You just replaced my new favorite, it was my favorite for about 5 minutes. Then I saw this and I just had to added to my favs. LOVE IT!!!!!!!!! The eyes are captivating, so innocent looking.

I just saw it on the frontpage while surfing there, and wondered why it wasn't on my dev watch...*L* well it was, I just didn't see it til I looked...
It looks liek the reference pic, and it does not I think, your work makes her look a lil more like a puppet...not too sure why, can't be yer skills, cuz they're impeccable *s*

eyes are bit big... and i think you could saturate her a bit more in the skin color, but the hair and shading are pretty perfect. wish i had a wacom!
