Description Mod

For Raster's birthday chapters.

Kind of a mix between two styles that I like to use (dollish and realistic). Done freehand in Photoshop 6.0. The reference photo was this one of model Trish Goff: [link] I've done a walk-through for an airbrush piece similar to style of this one for Raster, it's in the InFocus section there. (thanks for the correction ~midsummerstorm )

I like it a lot.
What can I say? The lighting is well done, great color compositions.
I like her eyes, she seems to expect something. Maybe an answer on a question? Hehe, just imagine...
I like how you did her hair, itΒ΄s nice!
All in all a very good deviation.
And, for sure!

it.

Keep it on!

Hah. Reminds me of Rachel Leigh Cook, too. Odd that Renonevada would think so, too! Lovely work here; I think the lips add the most detail. Lips are so hard to get right, and here you've done a beautiful job.

Oh yeah. That hair really is some of the best I've seen from you, very glossy and healthy looking. The rich tone of that against the pale skin is nice, and the eyes are very realistic.

Well, what can I say? When I first saw the small thumbnail on Raster's site I thought "minix's going 3D?". Of course you're not But that's just to say the shadows and highlights are just perfect on Mod. Again, you managed to extract the pose and lighting from a photo, and took it into something more cartoonish. When you take the time to look at the two images side by side it's obvious you've done a great job improving on the face expression of the model. Your Mod looks more cheerful, less enticing, somewhat more naive than the original. You've given more attention to the eyes, adding shadows and stronger eyeliner to them, and making them bigger and slightly more open than the original ones. Again, the hair is perfect, as it is on all your paintings. Changing the background color also adds to the different mood of the images.

Well, I could talk for hours, but who would listen to me?

By the way, your tutorial about the making of Almudena is in the InFocus section, and not in Creative. Just pointing that out so everyone can easily find it

Oh, and of course
