Description
A little something for Mere to hang on her wall. It's like a gift to her, as a thank-you for all of the inspiration.
I drew this in Opencanvas, from one of the beautiful photos she sent me taken by ~einarc . He was kind enought to permit me to use it as reference for the deviation and daprint.

One of my favorites BY one of my favorites.
I love the shifting expression - it's very human, very arbitrary and very vulnurable. You have an outstanding talent for capturing humanity in your bits and it's very evident here.
There's a real warmth to this and a wonderful softness in the color choices and the spill of hair.
The pronounced eyes are a nice reference to her work, but since yours often leans the same way I'm not sure if it's an intentional tribute or just stylistic.
Really, really, really... really nice.

The expression looks really weird. It's something between conciousness and sadness. Especially the oversized left eye supports it very well. Besides the left and the right face side seem different in the expression, like the character is splitted by two different moods. It's quite interesting that the whole image is done in red and brown tones ( even the shades ). The hair is wonderfully detailed and the different streaks are worked out perfectly. Proportions look correctly, altough the eye is intended to be different. GREAT WORK!

the shadows cast by her hair are a great touch. that is a detail so often overlooked. as always, the eyes are spectacular and purdiful.
