There were so many new techniques and tools to use. I also practiced with traditional media to get some experience with these too.
And all of that was totally worth it! I feel so much more confident at painting trees!
Even though oak trees are kind of standard, I still loved painting them. I limited myself to a semi-realistic style, but I know that in a more exaggerated comic style you can make some crazily amazing looking oak trees!
