Have another tutorial! It's as usual mainly my own study of a possible way to draw a rock, I just put the steps how I did it here and made a tutorial of itΒ ΒHope it can be useful to you!

(I admit though, the cropping of the thumbnail leads one to believe that this is an 'Assy Rock Tutorial'. Now that is a rock you don't want to paint.

When you are painting the rock, is the colors on the same layer as the sketch or is this all in on layer except for the paper texture?

I usually do every step on a new layer- sometimes I turn the sketch into an overlay layer because it blends better with the colours. After I finish the main colouring I compress all the layers of the stone, including the sketch and start colouring above that- stuff like the grass or working out the sketch itself so it isn't visible anymore. Hope that helps.

I've always been bad at drawing rock as you may see if you look at my other drawings XD
I did a good study here though so I hope to improve in the future!
