Description
Cascaded Shadow Mapping, Gaussian Blur, Variance Shadow Mapping, Percentage Closer Filtering, Bloom, Depth of Field, and Super Sampling Anti-Aliasing.The last one is also known as FSAA, which I mentioned last time as being far from ideal. It renders at a larger resolution (4x in this case, I believe), then downscales to the window size. So to render at 800x600 it has to do it at 3200x2400 or something along those lines instead. The frame rate is below 10 fps with this on, and is usually above 30, sometimes 60 without it.
My desktop is about 8 years old by now, so I'd figure a 'normal' computer today can handle it at about the same level, if not better. There will also be the option for turning each of these off, of course.

Hahaha! good to see you again Minon! same ol Kirby fan still waitin' for another demo whenever there will be one up. I just can't wait to see the new version and play as my favorite enemy characters! I saw this big green guy with a big sword and shield on Kirby's return to dream land for Wii. I can't believe he is going to be a playable helper in this one!

Anti-aliasing is usually pretty slow; emulating KRtDL on my mid-level gaming rig works really well, even at higher resolutions, but as soon as AA is turned on, the framerate drops to unplayable levels.
But either way, those shaders are really making a huge difference.

I just realized I had it set to 16x FSAA for these screenshots. 2x and 4x actually have very little slowdown, though at the same time it barely anti-aliases compared to 8x or 16x. 8x knocks the frame rate down to the 20s, so it's still usable.
