{ Welcome to the Nursery }

The Nursery is where a viscet couple goes to nest and hatch their offspring. It is where users come to submit a batch submission with two parents of different biological genders to have an offspring (batch) created from the two. The Nursery opens every other month throughout the year, alternating with the Hatchery (a completely different system). Please read all the rules below to be able to take part in Nursery openings. Thank you.

Important Update

Users who own Extra Nursery Submission Items & Extra Batch Claim Items can use multiples this month only.

The Nursery system will be updating and changing after this month and those items will lose their main function.

So we are encouraging all users who own these items to use them this month if at all possible.

(If any of these items are left over afterwards, a journal will be made to give users an opportunity to trade them in for something else)

Also in light of the recent update journal & rules journal , users with UBPs can post & claim more than one in the same year. Please see the journals for more info.

This Nursery Opening will only be from the 1st to 10th!

And will close officially around 7pm (U.S.) CST on the 10th.

( General Rules )

✦All regular species rules & dA rules apply.

✦Be respectful & patient when submitting a batch form.

✦Please read all Nursery Rules & Potion Guide before submitting a breeding request.

✦You must own at least one of the parents to submit a breeding request.

✦Any viscets used in breeding forms must be owned for a minimum of 30 days before they can breed.

✦To submit viscets for a breeding, you must use the form below when submitting. Please use the exact form.

✦Check that neither parent is related or of the same biological gender.

✦List any and all offspring both parents (individually or together); if not currently exist put N/A.

✦You can have a max of 5 Potions per submission.

✦Other section is for potions and minor suggestions on traits.

✦Perk: A member of our group for more than 48 hours will get 3 free (x3) penn diagram potions per batch form if desired. Cannot be combined with another user's perk.

✦Currently, Growing Potions are Unavailable as those lines have not been completed yet. (expected to be completed sometime during late Summer 2019)

✦PPS potions are available now but do not have the official edits completed. These will be slower done due to this reason.

✦When Growing & PPS Potions are available, they go under Growth Type and they do count against your 5 Potions limit.

✦ Default Growth Type: Adult does not count against any potions. It is free.

✦A singular user can only participate in up to 2 batch submissions per month.

✦When breeding with another user's viscet, ensure they haven't already participated in any other batch submissions this month.
✦A user can only claim 1 batch per calendar month.*

           *if a batch is posted in the next month after when the batch submission post was made then it first counts for the month it was originally posted in. **unless you have already claimed a batch in that month.

( Submission Rules )

You must follow these rules for your submission to be accepted & added to our queue. Failure to do so will result in a declined submission.

You must fill out one of the forms provided above fully. Please follow the exact format, do not deviate from it.

Link to both parents original thread or deviation. If readopt, link to original adoption thread (& optionally the readopt thread).

You must own at least one of the parents to submit a breeding request.

You must have expressed permission if breeding with another user's viscet, including permission for every potion being used specifically.

Check that neither parent is related or of the same biological gender.

List out & properly label all potions you would like to use/purchase. (E.g.: penn diagram x3 - mammal ears: husky or direct inheritance: mother's smooth horns)

Check potions weight, price, or information before submitting.

If there is an error or mistake, you must update & fix as soon as possible as dA comments can only be edited within 24 hours of being made.

( Payment Rules )

You are responsible for paying for all potions used (minus free or perk potions), regardless of inheritance or rolls.

Payment must be sent to the Artist who claims & completes your batch.

You cannot claim a batch until payment has been made & accepted by the artist.

            Failure to pay for a batch will result in the batch being withheld & the user's potion privileges (and potion perk) being revoked until payment is received.

Disclaimer: Failure to follow any of the rules listed above will result in your submission being made to be adjusted or declined, dependent upon the rule that was neglected or broken. It is your responsibility to ensure your batch submission is filled out correctly and gets accepted to be placed in our queue. Repeat offenses of the same rule break may result in temporary ban or suspension of nursery privileges for a time. We reserve the right to decline any submissions at any time, we also are not required to give an explanation via note, comment, or otherwise.

Remember this is a primarily free service provided by our volunteer staff. So please be respectful and patient with us when posting a batch submission.
