I think you capture the spirit very well, but I think Tris looks a little too plump and grandmotherly. ps. it's Niko not Nico.

Love it! Especially - well, all of it xD The Circle books will always be first for me and there's never enough art of them ;-; Nico is perfect, Briar in the first one is adorable, and I love how you drew Tris in the bottom picture. Seems like most people draw her as skinny, it's good to see someone who remembers her actual body type.

Skinny Tris is one of my worst pet peeves. I think everyone knows that she's plump (it's mentioned so very often) but a lot of people are reluctant to draw her that way because it's not conventionally "attractive." Thank you!

Ugh, I completely agree with you. I can't stand it when a character is described MANY times as being a certain way, but it's not "attractive", so no-one draws them like that >_> (Holly Short, Katniss...) Anyway, keep on drawing Tris like that!

Little Briar!
Briar and Tris were always my favorite couple in the Emelan four. Sandry/Briar's okay, but I feel like Briar needs a girl with some extra tartness. Sandry's a little too prim and pleasant to have the Briar/Tris friendship.
