Description
For the Favourite Fall Memory diorama contest.About the memory: My favourite memories of fall are more feelings then memories. They are from early childhood, there is my great-granmother in them, her cat, the smell of freshly baked cake inside and the smell of smoke, dead leaves, and brisk wind outside. I tried to make a diorama from all these ingredients.
About the diorama: I though about thinking outside the box... in a box. This is the result
About the title: the title is obvious because of the mirrors, but it also has a metaphorical meaning, as a wish for a happy memory to last forever, though it never does...
Materials: cardboard, paper, modurit, plaster, felt, ribbon, aquarium gravel, mirror (replaceable for mirror foil)

It's better to give it to a maket lover or a child and watch the home demolish...

Heartwarming.
My grandmother grew up close to the Slovakian border, there are hills and forests and she knew well the birds and plants. She walked with me in the vine-hill, the trees were colourful, and we watched the birds and everything was so calm. Long time I didn't think on that autumn memory. Thank you for reminding me.
Good luck for the contest!

Thank you very much! I don't really have many memories of my great-grandmother, she died when I was 3, there are just feelings and the knowledge that she was a very special person to me...

You're most welcome!
I understand perfectly... My great-grandfather died when I was 3, and I have only a few memories of him. He was a very special person, too.

Thinking outside the box was a good choice! The way it's like two dioramas in one, is pretty clever. And the autumn colours mirrored in infinity are beautiful. Somehow it fits the idea of find childhood memories so well. I wouldn't be surprised if you placed high in this contest!

I'm not gonna doubt it - but this diorama might be one helluva winner. When I read your description, you actually applied art theory into this. Usually people they're just about "oh whatever the theme is, I'll try to capture that". What's ingenious is how you totally came up with a different idea of your own and even tried to apply the art concept of "space". Initially, I wanted to incorporate all the theories of art into my diorama too, but looking back at it, it almost sort of seems like a project done by a 12 year old (or even younger than that). Hm... not very good in my dictionary:/

Thank you very much! I didn't intend to apply art theory, just got an interesting idea I wanted to try You didn't submit yours yet?
