This is kinda crappy, but it explains how I draw eyes.

Experiment with how you draw eyes, they can be all sorts of different shapes and colors, and make sure you pay attention to the type of animal you're drawing. Obviously this type of eye would look odd on a bird or snake, this is mainly a canine eye.
