Her English name Tristyn is a Welsh name and the feminine of Tristan that means "full of sorrows". Her French name Tristesse is the French version of Tristana, that means "sadness". This can be due to the fact that she cries easily or for the guilt of her past. Her surname in both English and French Mallory/Malory means "the unfortunate one" or "the unlucky one" probably evoking how she was accussed when she wasn't guilty, or just about her love life.

Her Japanese given name, Shion (紫苑) is a Japanese word for flower 'Aster tataricus' which meaning in flower language: "One who does not forget". This meaning can evoke to Tristyn being unable to forget about Armando and Mia after all what happened. Her Japanse surname, Higana (ヒガナ), from higanbana (彼岸花) that means Red Spider Lily. The Red Spider Lily is portrayed as the "flower of heavens" in Buddhist scriptures. However, it is also known as shibitobana ("死人花"), flower of the dead, in Japan and symbolizes "sorrowful memories" in the language of flowers. This meaning recall how Tristyn feels about what happenned in the past, besides the Red Spider Lily itself can refer to the fact that Godot can't see properly the color red.

Tristyn is 30 years old (during Trials and Tribulations), and is 164cm tall. She a busty girl, although not as much as Mia. Someone has a type it seems :3c But well, we can say he's not the only one with that preference, if you know what I mean Eyes

. Her hair is naturally wavy and it curls easily, especially with the humidity of the environment. She cut her bangs herself, too. She's myopic and used to wear glasses. During T&T she wears contacts, and 10 years after she will wear glasses again.

Tristyn met both Armando and Mia in 2012 when she was accused for murder. Armando was her defence lawyer. The actual culprit was Valentin Ephony, her boyfriend at that time. After being declared innocent, she startet working in Grossberg Law Office alongside Mia and Armando as the latter's secretary.

Tristyn is a crybaby and cries really easily when nevous or scared, so during the interrogations (and even sometimes in normal conversations) she tends to end up crying all of sudden. Mia usually handed her a handkerchief. She is considered to be spacey, innocent, very naïve, and is initially seen to not be very good to take her own decisions.

Tristyn developed a crush on Armando during the trial but working with him made her fall for him even more. Still, she suspected that Mia and him were in a relationship, something that she supported since she knew it was the best for each other. She never felt jealous of Mia, and loved her as an older sister (although they were the same age).

Tristyn developed a liking for black coffee thanks to Armando's influence when she was still working at Grossberg Law Offices.

When Armando got poisoned and fell in coma, Tristyn became Mia's overprotective secretary, cheking carefully every person who would come near Mia for making sure nothing happens to her too.

When Mia exposed Dahlia as the killer she was, Tristyn was happy for Dahlia's defeat, but still she couldn't help but feel empty because Armando wouldn't come back still. This made that Tristyn started distancing herself from Mia little by little. Due to that, when she found out she was murdered, Tristyn felt incredible guilt.

In 2018, when she met Armando, now going by the name Godot, insisted asked to be his secretary. And she started working alongside him during investigations on such on his cases.

They have a sexual relationship since then, although Tristyn is the only one who actual has feeling for the other at that time.

Once Godot got imprisoned in 2019, she went to visit him every time she could, and in one of the visits, she told him she was pregnant. She eventually has a daughter: Beatrice.

Once he got out of jail in 2029, he started liviing with Tristyn and Beatrice. He got charmed by his cute daughter right away, and, little by little, will have a warmer relationship with Tristyn.

In the anime her seiyuu is Reina Ueda and her English voice actress is Cherami Leigh .
