Her English and French name Lilith is derived from Akkadian lilitu meaning "of the night". Aluding to her dark personality and appearance. Her surname Cypress is based in the tree with the same name. In classical antiquity, the cypress was a symbol of mourning and in the modern era it remains the principal cemetery tree in both the Muslim world and Europe.

Her Japanese given name, Fuyuko (冬子), contains the kanji 冬 (fuyu) meaning "winter" and 子 (ko) meaning "child". Aluding to her distant and cold personality. Her Japanse surname, Kurosaki (黒崎), contains the kanji 黒 (kuro) that means "black" combined with 崎 (saki) that means both "promontory" and "cape". This can reference her dark appearance, too.

Lilith is 19 years old (during the supposed timeline of the new series, in which Beatrice is 20 btw), and is 150cm tall. She has wide bust and hips. She's myopic and wears glasses. Also, she tends to play with them when she's nervous.

Beatrice calls her lovingly, by a nickname: Lily. At first they didn't have a good relationship due to their different personalities, but ended up being friends after knowing each other more.

Lilith is showed as an emotionally distant, jaded, sardonic and lugubrious woman, who uses hard words as a weapon to keep people away from her. This makes her to be a bit feared by others, and her dark appearance doesn't help much.

She's known by the nickname lugubrious prosecutor, although other things the public had name her are gothic prosecutor and vampire prosecutor.

Lilith was born in a wealthy family with her little sister, Eloise. When they were 10 and 7, some people killed their parents and they were adopted by their uncle and aunt, who only wanted them for their wealth and actually treated them very badly.

Lilith was who mostly recieved the abuses for protecting her sister.

When they were 12 and 9, they were kidnapped. Their family didn't want to pay, so Lilith had to make her best to free her sister. She could manage to make her runaway, but she stayed hostage for a pair of months, something that psychologically damaged her. After those events, she became the distant and individualistic person she is currently, since she realized she's alone with her sister in the world.

After seeing all the injustice and awful people in the world, Lilith decided to became a prosecutor. Edgeworth, seeing her determined and suffering eyes, decided to make her his protégé. He became the only person that she could trust, besides her sister.

People though that she was just a rich girl who tried to get a good position, thanks to befriend the chief prosecutor, so they pushed her aside, when they weren't spreading terrible rumors about her. Franziska usually defended her, so she became close with her as well.

Lilith feels no attraction to men at all, so she is usually shown very confused when people around her seems to thirst over Edgeworth, especially knowing that he's a married man (NaruMistsu, hell yeah!) so other people has zero possibilities with him.

Other ppl she would know are Godot and Tristyn. She didn't trust Godot much since she knew that he was in jail for murder, but after knowing he was Beatrice's father, she tried to be more cordial with him. About Tris, when Beatrice introduce her to Lilith, she told her that she didn't look her age, something that Tristyn really appreciated and nearly cried.

Her seiyuu is Mimori Suzuko and her English voice actress is Brittney Karbowski .
