Description This is the pattern for my 2nd beaded dragon . I made this on my own, though for the wings I looked at this tutorial , though it didn't work out for how I needed it and so I made my own with only slightly changed wing-pattern.
Hope you like it...

I was inspired doing this dragon by 's tutorial on a flat dragon.
It's a very, very cute one!

If you don't know how to do 3D-beaded-figures, I explained that here .

If you need help with the details of that pattern, go here .

Have fun!

If you use it, please link back, for this was hard work...

You are very wellcome. Unluckily the link does not work But the dragon I see on your page looks great You can form it with your fingers a bit to make it a bit rounder, if you want. My first 3D beaded Figurines though looked a lot less 3D than your dragon does! So... Good work!! I'm impressed

Oh, the wings aren't that bad... are you taking the original ones? They are ok, just do it slowly, step by step.
The attatching of all the things is a bit tricky in the beginning, but I bet you will do great! Maybe practise with pieces of wire first? Don't worry to form the body to put things in. You can form it back later, when everything is done.
I mostly use nail-siccors (to cut your fingernails with, because the things are thin enough) to bend the body to put in new wire (for example for the legs) and later form it back to shape with my hands. Siccors will help picking the right spot to go in.
Good luck!
Show me your result, when you're done, please I'd love to see it.
Have fun!

Hello Do you have to get a lngeth of wire at the start for the body? How long should it be? thank you

Miryl In reply to Solax636 [2011-09-22 08:44:31 +0000 UTC]

Uh, well, I kind of do it off feeling... So I guess I had one and a half to two meters of wire... which was a bit too long, I guess, but better too long than too short, right?
Most times I just take the length from one fingertip of my left hand to one of my right hand, if you know what I mean... Then fold it in half to know the starting point...

Hope that helped...

It can be pretty hard if they are that complex... Plus I'm not that good in Tutorial-makeing... But if you can maybe tell me what you have problems with, I can try to explain or make it clearer...

I fear I don't really get your question... English isn't my first language, so have mercy with me...
Do you mean how to start? Or how to do the spine, like shown in row 10?
I can try to draw that...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

TameYetWild14 In reply to Miryl [2011-06-13 18:10:32 +0000 UTC]

Oh haha sorry XD i meant the way it's laid out do you stitch it like that first and then you stich the ends together? Or along the way do you stich the ends together?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Miryl In reply to TameYetWild14 [2011-06-13 18:54:06 +0000 UTC]

What ends? I use wire, so I just go through the beads in lines, forming them to a boddy... In the end I seal everything by going back the last few steps...

TameYetWild14 In reply to Miryl [2011-06-13 19:04:01 +0000 UTC]

Oh ok i meant the ends of the body pattern

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Miryl In reply to TameYetWild14 [2011-06-13 22:15:35 +0000 UTC]

Oh... I thought I did that in detail... oO
The Tail-tip I did with all the way the wire goes... You come from the single bead of the tail, and then follow the way I painted the wire... till the top-point single bead... Then you go back, as long as you wish. When you feel secure, cut the wire, and you are done.
