man it's been while since I posted any Spyro related stuff. Before I dive into any story, I like to draw out the characters to distinguish height and body type as well as figure out if there is something I should do to tweak their designs abit.Well I started doing this long before the actual game came out with the figures and artwork, so I didn't have a whole lot of references to work with. Although I am a bit proud how some of them came out (Flame, Camo, and Ember) I'm still not satisfied with most of them yet (Drobot, Bash, Drobot, Sunburn, Drobot and did I mention Drobot?).
From left to right:
Flame, Whirlwind, Camo, Cynder, Phantasmix (fan character), Bash, Sunburn, Zap, Spyro, Drobot, and Ember.
Spyro and cast- Universal... I guess.

The life dragon's name is Camo (omg I effin love him!).
Phantasmix is in between Cynder and Bash, you might have to sqiunt a bit to see him.

I don't think that many of the other Skylanders have been released yet, I've heard rumors that they'll launch the second wave before Xmas though so that's a good sign I guess.

Man...my faves would have to be Whirlwind-Spyro-Ember cause of their designs (obviously) but they look awesome and super cute. Especially Ember...man I wish she was in the game.
Cynder man...that face...and dem--Yeah she's still a depressing/angsty little thing isn't she?
...Okay...Flame's now a fave too. He's design is so unique, and dat nose. So cute!

Thanks, Flame is a personal fave of mine, simply because of his nose.
I like trying to implament some kind of animal into each mythical creature, like Flame's elephant nose, it just gives them a whole new personality than if one were to just give them the standard small nose or something.

It fits him and it's cute. I noticed that any creature with an elephant nose tends to be pushed aside which fits Flame pretty well with how most fans treat him.
It makes sense and makes the character not only change in appearance but attitude (like you said) as well. Normal noses are fine, but variety is nice. ^^

Thanks, it's a shame that not many people are daring enough to design their characters in such ways. Maybe it's to do with vanity or what, but I'm getting really sick of seeing all these Spyro and Cynder recolors with added hair and assescories.

Yeah, it is. I'm just used to the small noses, but I'm going to try and add some variety (let's see how well that turns out lol). But I try not to make my characters the same. It'd be boring, ya know?
And I hear ya on the recolors. It's like 'Come up with your own design or something.' e-e
