Thanks! Well for shading with pen, you actually just use pens with different size tips and how close you put lines together. To me, it comes pretty easily to teach myself to do this. And sometimes when I do new pieces, I find some new techniques.

Yupe. A robot with a camera in it and it can collect some blood samples.

Like the one used in Disney's Gargoyles to collect blood samples from Elyssa and Demona?

I have the DVD that came out of it and I still have my Brooklyn toy. So yeah, I am a fan of that show.

This one warms me somehow.
The earring adds a really nice touch, and I really love the detail of the fur. (Although I feel like it seems unnaturally smooth and could be a little more 'scruffy'.)
All in all, awesome!

I think this is a really good start and that you've done really well. Pens aren't easy and even I'm still learning more and more about them. Something that helped me was picking up a book called "Drawing in Pens and Ink" that has provided a lot of useful and very diverse tips for creating different effects with even your simple office pen. And I think that's what this needs, a bit more shape, because the thing that hurts this is the fact that it feels a little too flat...it needs more dimension, and knowing different techniques with pens can help give it that. You're definitely catching on by having your pen follow the direction of the natural hairs, but go ahead and get a little crazy too, some loose lines here and there would help breathe a little more life into it.

Thanks! I do have a few books on "Drawing in pens and Inks." Sometimes I have a hard time figuring how to put shading into some of my inks. Thanks for the tips!
