Description
rushed to complete this one a bit, but here is my latest finished work, the "Caerus" class space station"Caerus" class
type: mobile long range space station
manufacturer: General Diametrics corporation
approximate diameter: 45 kilometers
approximate height: 6 kilometers
standard Crew: 3,500
Minimum crew: 350
skeleton crew: 15
standard Guest
capacity (approximately): 6,500
typical life support efficiency: 95% (5% percent of resources lost yearly)
Artificial Gravity: artificial gravity plating (built into each deck)
weapon systems: 3 heavy mining lasers (fixed forward)
the "Caerus" class space station is designed to provide a mobile multi-function space station, capable of operating in deep space for extended periods of time.
each station is fully equipped with a heavy plasma ejector engine, a highly robust Hydrogen Fusion Reactor that can operate at peak capacity for up to 10 years without refueling, and a magnetic based gas collection field emitter tied into an on board gas separator system, which allows the station to refuel from gas giant planets and appropriate nebula's.
the station is also equipped with four medium sized dry docks, tied into the dry docks is an internal docking ring for small ships and the stations short range craft. the docking ring can also be accessed from six shielded entry points evenly dispersed around the stations perimeter.
the default layout pf the Caerus class is outfitted with all the standard shielding, sensor systems, advanced life support systems, found on any other respectable long range space station, and artificial gravity systems are built in as an integral component of the stations design.
the Caerus class station is also designed to be outfitted with six massive payload modules which add to the core stations already impressive manufacturing, and storage capabilities. the payload modules are typically: cargo storage units, factory modules, resource refining plants, laboratory complexes, or weapon modules.
built in weapon systems other than the three forward heavy mining lasers are not a standard feature, and require a custom order or after market modifications, though some clients have successfully converted Caerus class stations into powerful warships, however such modifications while effective are expensive to say the least.
