Description
the ALPHA Fortress Construct, is a planet sized ultra secure Military research and production facility, and is where the "Dauntless II" was constructed, as was the now forgotten CF-FS-01 "PROMETHEUS" original flag ship of the Chrono Forces, as well as the Current Flagship 0-0-2 "Goddess of the Dawn".

the ALPHA Fortress, is in fact a fortress within a fortress, at the center of the outer fortress is a dimensional gate specifically keyed to a specific Artificial pocket dimension, where in resides "Chrono Fortress Alpha" the primary power source from which all other Chrono Fortress's are able to function. the pocket dimension it resides in is isolated by such strong dimensional static, that only the ALPHA Fortress's D-gate is able to access it.

the Alpha fortress is among other things home to the primary laboratories of "Project Diablon" and thus is also home to Dr. Kepler, one of the Chrono Forces most brilliant minds, but he is also a bit crazy. Dr. Kepler, as his name implies was the first scientist to identify and Harness Kepler Radiation, which resulted in the development of the infamous "Kepler Radiation Projector Cannon" a weapon that the Chrono forces have since phased out of use, and have locked away and destroyed all external traces and records of the technology.

the ALPHA Fortress Construct is protected by two shielding systems, the external shield which is always active is a planetary grade deflector shield, stretched across a massive fourteen component projector cage, access through which, is gained by having one of the Neutronium armored support caps unlink from the cage, providing an opening at the top or bottom of the fortress, large enough for a whole fleet to fly through.

the inner shield guarding the actual fortress is a fortress shield, of the same kind used on all Chrono Fortress's, which creates a thin impenetrable shell of matter filled space where time stands still, creating a shield of absolute density and hardness, through which no known weapon can penetrate, even light cannot pass, causing the whole shield to become pitch black when turned on.
