When i designed this ship nearly a decade ago, i was mostly leaning on the Homeworld franchise's standards for ship weaponry, as such these Ion Cannons are highly constrained anti ship pulsed beam weapons, that frankly seem to have more in common with a laser than anything else.
The Tri-Cannon weapons are fixed parallel to the spine of the ship, so they fire whichever way the ship's nose is pointing, the idea was that since Homeworld style Ion Cannons fire a pulse every few seconds, these cannons instead used a separate charging system for each barrel, allowing them to chain fire like a gatling gun, for unrelenting armour piercing destruction; the design is needlessly complicated and at the time i liked it, but nowadays they make me cringe a little.
The "Multi-Vector Dark Matter Ion cannon" is an orbital bombardment weapon, fixed pointing directly downwards in the ship, the "Multi-Vector" bit refers to the cannon having an adjustable firing aperture that allowed steering of the beam as it leaves the weapon, so that the ship only needs to point its keel in the general direction of the target, the "Dark Matter" bit is pure technical hand waving BS that was only intended to make it sound more threatening.

This is awesome!!!
You know what this airship reminds me of MegaMan Legends, a great game Capcom was stupid enough to discontinue and ended up upsetting a lot of MegaMan fans (those idiots).
Anyway nice Airship keep up the good work.

Their anti-grav maneuvering capability certainly would let them fly inside an atmosphere, but these ships where built to do battle in the depths of space.
As for Megaman, Capcom has been sitting on the whole franchise twiddling its thumbs for so long, that Keiji Inafune finally jumped ship and started his own company.
Also, i ended the universe this ship belongs to like 5 years ago.

Sorry it took so long to for me too reply but I'm rarely on deviantart and because of that I don't know how to use the mailbox thingy...
Anyway I know why Keiji Inafune left Capcom but when Keiji left he still wanted to help Capcom finish Megaman Legends 3 Capcom started acting like a bunch haters and said no, instead of them being happy for Keiji they were mad at him and stopped the development and because of that the fans had to suffer even though the fans helped with designing some of the game, and started a Megaman FaceBook campaign for fans called
"100,000 Strong for Bringing Back Mega Man Legends 3"
literally begging Capcom to finish the development but Capcom started acting all high and mighty as if they were too good to listen to their fans then had the nerve to blame the fans for not being "more involved" which was like a slap to the face to every fan that actually did help and was hoping and wishing for soooooo looooong for this game to be released.
To me Capcom sucks and the only other game they have that's good in my opinion is the Resident Evil series and to be honest I haven't played a RE game in a long time but I've been hearing terrible things about those games of late... I mean really how sad.

Most of that i already knew about, Capcom is financially choking on their own arrogance, and Inafune is off continuing to do what he loves; TBH, i'm only passingly interested in Mega Man, if Inafune can snatch up the IP rights when Capcom finally sinks, great, if not, i wont lose any sleep over it.

Oh... okay. This is cool. Keep it up!
Guns ablaze, though. Is coolness ablaze a thing? It should be. : D
