How do you do the blending without the blur tool, mess with the brush settings?

Nice tutorial! But i wonder , why not use the smudge tool? Just wanna know cause i seen so many dont use the smudge tool and i always use it so i just wanna know >3👍: 0 ⏩: 1

thankyou
for this tut i mentioned not to use the smudge tool because its basically about coloring with texture and stuff. smudge tool makes the color completely smooth and flat with no texture so its not good for coloring in my opinion. it probably is for other art and coloring styles but not this one
i believe you're better off learning how to color with brushes than smudge tool anyways because its something you can apply with traditional art too

I liked really much this tutorial, very useful by the way~
only a question: to blend the colors, or mixing them, what brushes you use..and in what program?

awesome 8D
a lot of the example images in this tutorial were done in gimp 2.6, but the final drawing was done using photoshop. I just use a basic brush with 100% hardness and pen pressure applied the technique is really simple, i just hold alt/option key in PS which is the shortcut for picker, and gradually pick at the colors and work them in.

ok~ thanks!
just another doubt, in photoshop what type of brush do you use, because i want to make it look smoother, usually when i use it ,it appear so rough.

thats okay i just use a default basic brush. you could try making your canvas bigger? sometimes depending on the size of the canvas the brushes will come out rough. try making an A4 sized document and see if its smoother
