So this piece was a huge nostalgia trip for me. I mean, seriously; roleplaying this guy is the main thing that got me writing and drawing on this site in the first place. Oooh, look at how steriotypical I was: oddistortion.deviantart.com/ar… oddistortion.deviantart.com/ar…So when this competition came along, asking for my favourite character, things really clicked for me; I owed Blumiere that tribute. (Honestly, my that old inner fangirl is thrashing me around, asking me to make more, though. Aaa. D

I just know I'm gonna get thrashed around by the other brilliant artists entering, but... The progress, and nostalgia, and feels I got from making this makes it all more than worthwhile. Pretty done with detailing capes now, though, I mean seriously. e-e

Yet another brilliant piece! This character is very interesting, I do like the color contrast between the main character and the surroundings. Bold lines and geometric shapes really work well. Overall, I like it. I'll favoring it! Like it was said before, this is brilliant work, just because is not everyone's cup of tea, it doesn't mean it didn't require time, effort, talent and skill to make. Keep on the good work, we'll be rooting for you.

Absolutely amazing, this is probably the most creative way someone has drawn Count Bleck that I have ever seen! I love the vibrant, eye-catching colors and the surreal-like vibe this has, it all looks like it came right out of a painting! Bleck himself has so much detail and unique features, he almost looks like he's made out of cloth and clockwork! Happy to hear that this gave you a lot of nostalgia for Bleck, you made a truly awesome tribute to him!

Ah; not quite. As in, levelling them with rare candies made them weaker than if you levelled them conventionally. There's a system behind it, I think. You get extra stats every next level depending on how many of certain species were defeated.

xD I only get really annoyed if it was in the sketching stage, and I was actually happy with what was going on. If it's just shading/colour, that's easy to replicate.
Not gonna lie; have ragequitted a few times; the program I usually use is in beta, so for a while there were lots of crashes like that. D:

i heard the new CCphotoshop has an autosave, or so i heard, but. . . i don't think it's enough for me to realize it tho. i usually forget to save when i'm really "so close, yet so far" to finishing a piece, or in the zone.

Oh, fortunately I've gotten into the habit of just saving everything. I used to not save pieces until they were finished, or I had to take a break from them. xD
I use Black Ink the majority of the time. Sometimes I swap to Sai for shading and the such, but I hate Sai's interface comparatively.
It's still in development, so there are a few bugs and annoyances (can't resize the canvas independently of the image, can't seem to merge different types of layers together while retaining their properties, can only have seven layers max), but... it feels really nice to use. xD It's brush creation is also really nice, though I'm only just starting to learn about that.

not as much as i use to. i just use a particular brush in photoshop to start with, then transfer the work to Clip Studio Paint for painting and rendering. I use to use PTS but the eraser tool sucked and the program stopped loading all together at point. I got it back, b/c i knew i wanted to use the watercolor brush again.
it certainly feels nice but PTS has a lot of disadvantages. I heard of Black Ink, tho, and even downloaded it. but haven't installed it. i just like collecting different programs, see how they are. i forget what Black Ink looked like tho X3
