Description
The TSC noted that while the weapons that made up the first generation of TSC firearms were great, they needed replacements within five decades. Using the M14 as the core idea for the new rifle, gunsmiths within the TSC went to work.

Using a modernized 6.5 Grendel round, the MSAR-01 became the replacement to the M1 Garands within the TSC arsenal. As per standard procedure for most TSC weapons some RIS rails were put into the design to gain some external modularity. The internal modularity is due to the fact that while the firing mechanism is one of three variants with various recoil reduction systems within the gas system to decrease recoil.

Used usually as the DMR rifle of the TSC during the Second and early Third Wave weapon eras, the weapon became notorious in the raider and slaver communities as one of the most accurate and powerful DMRs in existence short of using gauss tech.

Many soldiers, both militia and army, would love this weapon until the Matchlock Gauss Rifle appeared several centuries later.
