Graveyard Cat, Minchinhampton, Gloucs, UK. 1991.Fisheye converter, Ilford XP1.
We camped the night on the common, right next to the churchyard. Truly spooky.
This pic was used as the back cover of a CD by some friends and former band-mates here in Brisbane. They were called Rubber Bug, but I couldn't resist calling them Rubbery Buggery. Without egotism, I say it should have been the front cover.

I was at the shops yesterday and noticed a new calendar comprising shots just like this one (but in colour) ... a whole lotta kitties photographed with a fish-eye lens. There was another calendar with a variety of animals in fish-eye view. The brand name for the calendars was 'Heads'. Had I only been more entrepeneurial.

Yeah great shot for a cover of a CD, the cat makes me think of Alice and Wonderland, he looks like he is about to say something more then meow.

That is truely a frightening cat. If you have ever seen Stephen King's Pet Semetary this cat would totally freak you out in the dark.

and you get some brownie points for where you camped out...most people could have gone insane attempting that...blargh to people and superstitutions...have always found graveyards a pretty nice place to camp out...definitely on the quiet side

Well I love cats and this shots is great. Deffinately a fav. I just can't contain a smile when I look at that adorable and curious feline, looking for purposes, as he is about to press his nose affectionately to the lens. Great use of the fish-eye effect, deffinately not a standard Cat shot.

That is a coolest photograph of a cat that I have ever seen. It's so sketchy.. It kindof looks like an animatronic cat.. It could have video cameras in it's eyes or something.. It's watching us.. omg..
But it's too cute to be evil. I'm a sucker for little furry things that make cute noises.
