A friend's 12-inch figurine of Boris Karloff as Frankenstein's misunderstood monster. Photographed with bounced off-camera flash against a black velvet background which I later modified in PS in an attempt to suggest a German Expressionist mood.Related content

it's interesting how he kind of blends into the shadows (as opposed to a normal portrait, where the subject has more lighting and thus pops out more). I think it works well in this instance, given the subject.

neat! i watched a really freaky programme about the stuff frankenstein was based on, there really were mad scientists back then wernt they. they did some really wired experiments on bodies
