While I'm more of a supporter of Single's Awareness Day than Valentines, I suppose I could celebrate V-day with this piece if only cuz it works with my utter love affair with books!

Wow! The details are amazing, and your shading is so soft. The watercolor background adds really great texture, too! I think my favorite part is easily her hands and the hearts that are here and there. Great work!

The colors are nice, and the whole piece is very cute. I personally like the design of the hair and feelers the best.
The small hearts add a great touch to it too.

I've never had my nails done that prettily myself, but I think they are lovely
With all the art and crafting I do it would be very impractical to have to battle it out with my nails every time I want to work on something lol.

*blinks innocently* I at least waited until purple wasn't on your hate list anymore lol

I have a tendency sometimes to rush since I want to see the final product, but with this one I forced myself to work more slowly. I am really happy with her. Working on a larger scale is harder on my hands, but is really quite satisfying.
I have started playing with salt too, so I am having a lot of fun with that. I made a sample board with lots of different textures including table salt, rock salt, rubbing alcohol, vinegar, peroxide, and baking soda...baking soda makes watercolors sparkle It was fun experimenting even though I found some things NOT to do lol I am trying to think of more things to try out.
