I am going to have to put that on my list of places to visit, for sure!

Thanks for the compliment. Yes, Sequoia National Park (and Kings Canyon which is near-by)is a wonderful place if you like huge trees. It's not as famous as Yosemite - located a few hours to the north - but then it's also not nearly as crowded; especially in the summer.

[link] Not from the national parks, but on a 'tour' I was giving a friend-who-is-now-my-fiance visiting last year; most of the places I go to, aren't in general public access, as I grow weary of beaten footpaths.

Very nice photo. Those appear to be redwood trees. You live (I'm guessing) near Redwood National Park or Humboldt State Park. Must be a beautiful place to live.

Humboldt State University is about 25 minutes north of me, and the Avenue of the Giants is abut 40 minutes south of me

Eureka has a small (larger than most in-city parks) section of forest that was left alone during development, so I have an area of Redwoods to visit within walking distance ^_^

True, but it takes a good eye to find a good composition.

Thanks. They're very impressive trees. If you're ever in California you should make the trip up to the Sierras and see( i.e. photograph)
them.
