Description
Dedicated to Wayne Robson, April 29, 1946 - April 4, 2011.Last night, a deviantArt member informed me that the gentleman who provided the voice for this little fellow passed away this week. There I was, drawing happily away, when the life behind the character was dying, namely on the day when I was working on that "Caged In" composition. There's something really sad about that....
This is the second time this has happened: Where the voice behind a cartoon character dies right when I finally start drawing them, only this time it was one of my favorite Disney characters. I never knew Mr. Robson, but he sounded like a nice guy whom I would like to have met. What a shame....
Despite all of this, I wanted to draw something happy and not depressing; henceforth, I did my best to make up a cute pose. At least Mr. Robson left memorable imprints. Here's hoping he went to heaven.

How would you feel if Gino Conforti (the voice of Jacquimo in "Thumbelina") died?

Just curious, who was the first time that it happened?
And don't feel depressed; passing on, although a traditionally sad occasion, should be celebrated if the person lived a rich and fulfilling life.
I am sure your work, regardless of the quality, is a fitting tribute to Wayne's memory. It's the thought that counts. And believe me, this is one of my favourites, so you should have no concerns there!

The first instance involved Page Hearn, an actor who provided the voice of Fidgel in the children's show, 3-2-1 Penguins!, and who died of a sudden heart attack. It was rather tragic....
Very true. Thank you for the kind words.

Oh, it was back in 2008, I believe. Sad.
