Hey guys, this is a Character concept sheet I just finished for a fan-made Halo graphic novel called 'Ultimatum' by Isaac Semmelmann. I will be uploading more of the concept sheets I'm doing for this project as and when I complete them over the next month! So keep an eye out
Which is your favourite?
The description I was given to work with:
"The Forgotten Enforcer has no name but his actions speak for themselves. He is a very strong individual wielding a modified M247H Heavy Machine Gun. The Forgotten Enforcer Wears ODST gear but he modified the armor for his own puposes.'

I know nothing about the character so I'm not sure if I can judge which set would fit him best, but I do like #3, maybe paired with #1's legs. Also if you want to avoid the whole cloth-over-armor debate I think you shouldn't use the hood over the ODST helmet.

Oh man, your ODST work has been a huge part of my motivation to work on my own and the three of these are just wonderful!
I personally love the second one, very distinct from being a regular ODST and gives him a more strong look. If you don't mind a few ideas, I think just adding a drop pouch on the left thigh, a holster on the right, and some pouches on his toros like in the others ones and maybe change up the helmet, maybe take away those NVG looking eyes and add a rebreather of some sort and maybe up the armor on the ODST helmet? Just some suggestions that's all. Still very awesome.

I will do my own ODST character at some point and we shall see what happens haha xD I have done lots of military training myself, so i know what would/wouldn't be useful, so I think ill be fine with making it tactical

Really torn about what to equip my ODST with, I was thinking of having an LMG since I do use one in Military Simulations, but I'm also a big fan of CQB Operations so I wanted a shotgun for him to use as well, though I know how hard it is to lug around a heavy MG around and the ammo for it let alone the other gear you need and then carrying another weapon and the ammo for that, I was thinking about making a very short no stock shotgun that way it would be light weight and he could carry them both. An alternative would have been that he'd just have a Magnum and then a automatic shotgun since I've really been wanting to design one of those for the Halo Universe.

And why not use an under-slung shotgun attachment on an lmg? That way you have the nice suppressive rate of fire from the lmg, but when it gets into a close quarters, you can use the shotgun attachment to breach doors and ground enemies? It would need to be a reasonably lightweight mg to be easy to use in cq, but I don't see why it wouldn't work
And yeah! For example, on monday i managed to reply to all of my faves, but as im writing this, i have 47 faves to reply to.... xD Its crazy

That's... a pretty badass idea. I'm seeing Aliens style with the under-slung shotty. Though it would limit a few things to a normal LMG like bipod and weight, buuuut I could sketch some ideas and or maybe have a scene where he jerry rigs it for a scenario or something! Thanks for the ideas man I'll definately have to get that down on paper.
