Dedicated to Martin Kippenberger; enjoyed a retrospective exhibition about him at the Bundeskunsthalle lately. [link]

Shot and processing of a detail from a work of his series “Lieber Maler, male mir...”, which he even did not make himself, but let other students paint for him just to demonstrate a new conception (if I got that right). – I especially liked the photorealistic attempt of that simple pattern’s painting with its play of light and shadow, while it only works if you don’t look close enough. So this has something in common with my current Somanmbul pieces . . . Anyway, photographing all items was allowed (without flash).

Yet I was curious about the output of my Supernova and startled again, how technically cr*ppy most shots were; on this original very shot a couple of grayish kind of loops can only be guessed. Yes, I am definitely soon going to switch to a new camera for sure! – While the recently added 3D frame makes the piece more appealing, unfortunately all the smooth gradients are crippled again in the dA gallery however.
