THE FIRST PART OMG!The first part of my new project. A complete Illustration of 'The hucnhback of notre Dame' my favourite novel ever. I really wanna go straight to the book and it should feature all original character of Victor Hugo (but not Jehan, he's unimportant xD)
So. What happend here? It's the story of Paquette de Chantefleureie, Mother of Esmeralda, and how Quasi came to Frollo. A gypsy woman stole Esme and put her deformed Quasi to Notre Dame to keep Esme.

Jehan is not unimportant, without him Frollo may never have had, had the heart to adopted Quasi. It's him who awakens the idea that there's more to life than studying in Claude, and its in the name of Jehan, Frollo dose adopt Quasimodo. Claiming that if Jehan should be short of tole at the gate of heaven, this deed done his name may be enough to help him get through. It's also because Jehan was out to nurse at the time that Frollo was in such a hurry to get there and came upon Quasimodo so fast. (Also I believe he has something to do with Quasimodo in court but I don't recall.)

It's a sad story their wasn't a happy ending in the book.
People said that esmerelda was a gypsy but she was actually a recluse, a woman who can do anything of free will.

D'aaaw... thank you! I can't understand why Paquette de la Chantfleurie doesn't appear in Notre Dame's movies! It's a so charming charachter! We can see her only in the 1923's version!

Thank you for aiding in the spreading of Victor's greatest work and not showing the Disney version that has ruined the sheer drama in the book. At first I thought this was a storyboard for a movie due to the great quality. In short this pic is awesome!

I think so, but in the disney movie they absolutly don't mention esmes mother. They stole Esme and changed it for Quasi and brought quasi to notre dame...

I had to cry the whole time when Paquette de Chantefleurie and Esme were mentioned, it's a terrible part, most in the end (i'm scared to draw that scenes, they are so emotional xD)
