This is the third part, I love Esme in the third picture
So, here they made Quasi the King of fools and Esme is dancing for him. (In the second piece Quasi should look like all the beauty is blending him and everything doesn't matter except her). Gringoire watched it and goes away from the people to look for a place to sleep.

I haven't read the book in years and if I'm correct Gringoire just becomes a composite character in the Disney adaptation, musical or movie.
