Description
It was difficult to leave this alone and not keep messing with it. The beauty of charcoal is when it is very loose and sketchy. This attractive Friesian horse was just screaming to be drawn. I would consider this more of a sketch than a finished drawing, but I think I like it that way. I want to experiment more with this style and colored paper.8.5in x 7in

Haha, he's famous! Hopefully one day I'll own a horse that artists everywhere will want to draw/paint.

This is beautiful. Will you offer it for sale or a print? I love to have traditional art of my photos on my walls.

Thank you very much. I'd be more than willing to sell it to you. I had actually planned on drawing a few more pictures of Keegan so maybe I can send them as a set if you're interested?

Love the energy. And ah, charcoal is one of my favorite media. So easy to work with, and you're able to get so many effects and textures from it. This really inspired me to do a bit of traditional art again!

Thank you! I actually haven't used charcoal much recently so I am re-discovering how fun it is. You should def do some traditional art...it's always fun to switch things up a bit.

Thank you I love sketches, but I normally overwork them so drawing in charcoal helps me not do that as much lol.

Thank you! I love toned paper too... this is just cheap cardstock that I found. I like drawing on those big rolls of butcher paper too.
