I realized I haven't posted any new artwork in over a year now! Wow. Has it been that long?

Yeah. Yeah it has.

Truth is, I've been both busy and uninspired. On and off I've been updating and abridging Joanna's Oerth Adventures (when I have time) as I've recollected adventures I'd forgotten about as well as adding events to fill in some blank spots that happened between the time I stopped playing D&D and started playing Champions back in the 90's; specifically her time while she was hiding out in Admundfort. A lot happened in Admundfort, and I'm in the process of detailing and modifying those events in light of the detailed history of Oerth available online. I didn't have the internet back then, and since I like things to be canonical I need to adjust some of the events to keep them in line with Oerth's official history. I will post them as I complete them to my satisfaction.

In Joanna's Oerth History Part 14, under the Chapter "Rukmol", Joanna goes to her tavern to drown her sorrows due to Ultoks refusal to reopwn her tavern. Rukmol, the orc with whom she co-owned The Dancing Nymph, joined her. The drawing below is of their revelry and having perhaps far too much fun for their own good...and with Rukmol getting a little cheeky with his hands.

If you're curious as to where in the tavern this takes place, look at the map of The Dancing Nymph ( www.deviantart.com/mjarrett100… ), find the area marked 4a (south eastern part of the central fireplace). From there you can see a black square if you look diagonally downward south east. The black square is a support beam, and that is roughly where the viewer would be standing (give or take a few feet due west), looking north/northwest. The banquet table and bench Rukmol and Joanna are seated at are moved a little south-westward than the tables shown on the map as it's the only table in the room. After I was done drawing the picture I noticed, too late, that I had forgotten to draw the windows along the wall in the background. From that vantage point there should have been at least 3 of them. Oh well. Maybe I might correct this oversight later when I have the motivation to do it, but for right now I just don't have the patience to put in all the effort.

Granted, it's not a very good drawing. I don't have much free time these days, and drawing backgrounds bore me to death, but posting something is better than nothing, right? It's more of an illustration than an example of my skill as an artist anyway, and this image had been rummaging around in my brain for a while now (since I've been rewriting her chronicles) so I had to do something about it.
