Description
I put this together and posted it on FACEBOOK. I claim no ownership of any of the images.Today the BIG nerd/geek influences are things like Harry Potter, LOTR, Doctor Who, Game of Thrones. But way back in the old days we had our own unique Geek Fodder that today's geeks would probably roll their eye at.Β Β If your 40 or older you may remember a few of these.

Three I don't know: The rocket pic to the right of Rod Serling, and the full-color bikini lady below that. And the bug on the hand.

Rocket ship XM is a lot of fun.
Land of the Giants was great when I was 9...not so great now.
Zanti Misfits is okay but not my favorite Outer Limits episode.

Eh, Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea kind of lost my interest in color. Β I think they tried to make it Star Trek: The Wet Generation. Β To many weird rubber monsters and psycho robots for a show about the ocean.

Fair, but I've loved WHO since '83 on top of what's pictured here (back when it was just called 'weird')...

I remember some of them and I am 30 (of course they were in rerun at the time). Fiance says he's always had Doctor Who in his life and he's going to be 43 soon enough...so he argues that counts as well.

My "Meme" is based on growing up in America. We did not have Doctor Who until the early 80s. A very different story in Europe of course.

Whoa, thanks for the charge down Memory Lane, Mr B!!!
Ok, let's see how I do here.
Top Row: Β 2001 A Space Odyssey, The Time Tunnel, My Favorite Martian and Forbidden Planet
Middle Row: Β Upper - (unknown), Lower - Outer Limits, Invaders, MISTER Rod Serling, Unknown
Bottom Row: Β Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea (TV show for windows in the bow and mini sub hanger doors on the keel), Lost in Space (with "The Robot" front and center), Land of the Giants (characters name was Valerie, if memory serves correctly)
So how did I do, fellow geek?

Hey, I like Dr. Who and Harry Potter...and Lost in Space, Twilight Zone, Night Gallery, Thriller... Β One must stay up to date on their geekery. Β Admittedly, at 32, I had to start in the 80's, but that's what reruns and VHS were for.
